WGK was selected to provide the Right-of-Way surveying and mapping phase services for this project on Highway 493, Meridian, Mississippi. The land surveying, mapping and title work was for a 6-mile right-of-way with 174 parcels in Lauderdale County.  The project was completed utilizing a new concept for MDOT in which an individual plat was prepared for each parcel, which met the minimum standards established by the MS State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers and Surveyors. The project required the import of the proposed highway reconstruction plans into our CAD system and field data collection of all property / right-of-way intersects and preparation of property plats pertaining to the new right-of-way. This was required to produce the project appraisal maps (Exhibit A), individual parcel plats (Exhibit B) Warranty Deeds, Easements and Quiet Claim Deeds(Exhibit C).
