The combination of his math and science skills along with the appeal of working outdoors initially drew Brandon to civil engineering. However, his commitment to the profession took on new meaning after a professor at the University of Arkansas had him look up the Seven Global Issues the United Nations lists as having the biggest impact on quality of life when improved.
Five out of the seven items on the list involved water. From that point forward Brandon has had a greater appreciation for how his work can have a positive and lasting impact on the people and clients he serves.
He enjoys the different set of challenges that come with each new project and the critical thinking required to develop an individualized solution that best serves the client’s needs.
As a Project Engineer and Associate on the WGK Engineering Team Brandon works on a wide range of projects. He serves as the City Engineer for a municipal client and lead engineer on the firm’s educational projects and many site design projects.
Brandon is married to his high school sweetheart Lynn and they have two sons. He is actively involved in their church and enjoys sports, hunting, fishing, camping, and anything outdoors. He and Lynn have traveled the country and world, including trips to the College World Series to cheer on MSU and his alma mater, Arkansas.
